6.  Lowers the Risk of Stroke and Heart Disease

For many years, people believe that since eggs contain cholesterol, that they must clog up arteries, leading to heart disease and stroke. This simply isn’t true as many studies have shown recently.

In one review of more than 17 studies that involved more than 263,000 subjects, there was absolutely no connection found between the consumption of eggs and either an increased risk of stroke or heart disease.

Interesting, but I’m wondering if the author of this article (I don’t see a name) was funded by….Big Egg.

I’m sticking with my two a week.

This article is sickening in more ways than one. This author has been fooled by the junk science put out by Dr. Ronald Krauss and his associates. Krauss is a sell out paid off by the Egg Board, cattlemen and dairy associations. His research is ridiculously flawed and clearly conceived to make eggs, dairy and meat look good nutritionally. Even Time Magazine got fooled by his bogus work. Check out Dr. Michael Greger’s reviews on nutritionfacts.org or by Dr. John McDougall on drmcdougall.com. I am shocked that Natural On published this misleading and dangerous article on eggs.

Good grief, NaturalOn is publishing this article AGAIN already? I commented on it a month ago. Big Egg is determined, isn’t it!

And why is NaturalOn continuing to publish this garbage. Does the Egg Board advertise on their website. I am about ready to unsubscribe from NaturalOn if they continue this foolishness.

You know nothing about eggs. Eggs are probably the single most nutritious food on the planet. Number 1, they contain copious amounts of lutein and zeaxanthin which control macular degeneration. Number 2, eggs contain almost every vitamin and mineral necessary to sustain life. Check your facts, dude. I am almost 72, have eaten eggs all my life, and my cholesterol is close to being perfect!

Mr. Nauseateme, please do some research before just spouting the hype of the article above; check out this article: http://nutritionfacts.org/video/avoiding-cholesterol-is-a-no-brainer/ Gabe, below, added a link on the patently false claims provided by the Egg Board; in fact the Federal Trade Commission told the Egg Board they could no longer advertise eggs as nutritious, healthy or even safe! The US Court of Appeals upheld that position. So the Egg Board came up with the advertising slogan of the “Incredible, edible egg.” Yeah, eggs are edible but not even safe! In the link above, in large reviews of the dangers of eggs, the Director of Stroke Prevention and Atherosclerosis, states, “The only people who should eat eggs are those who are going to drop dead anyway. The American Heart Association continues to advise against the regular consumption of eggs. I hope you live to a very old healthy age, but please don’t advise people to eat eggs regularly. I am a 64 year old vegan and became vegan only after really studying the current nutrition literature.

I don’t know who is backing you, but I can show you dozens of site that tout eggs for good health. You are listening to quacks. You are the one who needs to do your own homework. In fact your own body creates blood cholesterol. Dietary cholesterol is barely measurable in the blood.

I won’t waste any more time on someone who won’t even read the links put in front of his face.

I will bet my house your are a conspiracy theorist: You believe the Earth is a flat disk; you believe that Bush and Cheney planned 911; you believe in alien abductions, and you believe Lee Harvey Oswald was innocent.

The article you cite is just a copy of the article on NaturalOn. It is such a shame that one can’t have a discussion on the internet without someone resorting to insults. I won’t respond to you again.

When the original egg study was performed they needed a consistent and repeatable substance. To that end their decision was make powdered eggs. Now the subject was repeatable and consistent. The problem with that process was the egg was changed from its natural chemical state to a man made chemically altered state without all the constituents of a whole egg. Now having a consistent product to test then their chemical analysis began which brought them to “eggs are bad for you”.

As you can see the fault was not about the nutritional value of the whole egg, the fault was with the egg chemically altered egg to a powdered form. Still their report garnered all the headlines, “do not eat eggs”. Still, today folks go by that report forgetting it was of an adulterated egg not whole eggs.

Do some research, you will be amazed. Yes, for all the reasons stated in this article and many other articles expounding the value of eggs, eggs truly are good for you. Remember, if you tell a lie enough times with enough conviction folks will come to believe it; then it takes on a life of its own.

    Same as they did with eggs they did promoting Crisco being better for you than lard. Oh yes another can of worms, read the article, The Oiling of America;
    http://www.westonaprice.org/know-your-fats/the-oiling-of-america

    Another article is:
The rise and fall of Crisco
http://www.westonaprice.org/know-your-fats/the-oiling-of-america Oh by the way Crisco’s name came from CRYStalized Cottonseed Oil.

Now, go eat what you have a taste for. Remember, in the end we will all die.
