10. Oil of Oregano

Like garlic, oil of oregano kills pathogens, but leaves beneficial bacteria alone. This oil is also a powerful antiviral, which makes it a three in one fighting combination when it comes to fighting infections, and viruses, without harming beneficial bacteria and without encouraging a resistance to antibiotics. For foot and nail infections, add a few teaspoons of this oil to a bowl filled with warm water and soak your feet for 10 or 15 minutes every other day until the problem clears up. For colds or upper respiratory infections, add a few drops oregano oil into a bowl of steaming hot water and breathe in the steam to kill infection and clear up nasal passages.
