10. Cognitive Behavior Therapy

This is a type of education for people with depression.

Thoughts trigger feelings. If you can be taught to be more aware of your thoughts, and therefore change how you feel, it can alter the way in which your brain works.

This is short term therapy, generally lasting no more than 10 to 20 sessions, but it has been shown to be just as effective, if not more so, than medication for those with moderate depression symptoms.
