5. Get Sufficient Sleep

This is another broken record, right up there with “drink more water” but it’s just as important, which is why it continues to get repeated. Stop eating at least 2 hours before bedtime.

This reduces the amount of energy your body will need to spend digesting the food during the night when it should be resting. This energy is better used for other purposes than for the digestion of food. Also be sure you are getting a minimum of 7 to 9 hours sleep every night. It’s when you are sleeping that your body does most of its repairing, restoration, and removal of toxins.

So turn off that TV and put down your phone for the night and give your body the rest it needs.
