5. Ramen noodles

Ramen noodles, sometimes called cup of noodles, are a popular food item because they are fast, easy to make, and are super cheap. Unfortunately, they have been linked in several studies to diabetes and heart attacks. One study showed that eating these instant type noodle products can greatly increase your risk for cardio metabolic syndrome, especially for women.

This was a large study that involved more than 10,000 adults between the ages of 19 and 64, and was conducted over 2 years. This study found that eating these types of noodles, whether they be lo mein, Thai, or ramen, more than twice a week was associated with a much higher risk of developing cardio metabolic syndrome. This is a series of abnormalities that affects the cardio, renal, and metabolic systems within the body. The results of this study were published in the Journal of Nutrition. This isn’t the first study that showed the problems with these types of noodles. A video taken in 2012 showed what happened from inside the human digestive tract after eating instant ramen soups and it isn’t pretty. You can watch the video here yourself:

does the popcorn info apply to the ones that just come in a jar of only kernels that have had nothing done to them, so you can butter/salt them to your liking. also with any of the noodles you just mean the insta-noodles not the kind that almost a billion people eat.
