Got Wisdom Tooth Pain? We Have 15 Solutions! (#10 is Insane!)
4. Ginger
Ginger is great way to naturally relieve the pain of a wisdom tooth. Cut a small piece of ginger and place it directly on the tooth that hurts. If you can bite down on this piece of ginger, slowly and gently.
5. Onion
This is another home remedy tested over the centuries. If you can’t chew it, simply place a piece of raw onion on the painful tooth. Yellow and red types seem to work better than white or sweet onions.
6. Cloves
Cloves contain eugenol, the active ingredient that works as a natural pain killer. You can use cloves essential oil, the whole spice, or powder.
- Essential oil – Put a few drops on a cotton ball and put it next to the wisdom tooth that hurts.
- Whole Spice – Hold the clove close to the affected area. You will soon feel the area go numb. As the clove becomes softer, chew on it to release even more of the healing, numbing compounds.
- Ground Powder – Apply just a pinch of the powder to the painful area.
