7. Autism
RoundUp has several known biological affects that align it with autism. More than vaccines, people should look to this damaging herbicide for the ever increasing rates of autism. The gut dysbiosis that is found in autistic children and the toxicity of RoundUp that suppresses the beneficial bacteria is one of the underlying causes of autism. Glyphosate also encourages the accumulation of aluminum in the brain, which is believed to be one of the main contributing factors to autism.
8. Problems with Pregnancy
This includes numerous problems such as stillbirth, miscarriages, and infertility. RoundUp is toxic to the placenta, which explains the problems many agricultural workers experience with their pregnancies after being exposed to this herbicide.
9. Brain Cancer
One study involving children who had brain cancer, and the comparison to otherwise healthy children, discovered that if either parent had been exposed to glyphosate in the two year period before their child’s birth, the chances of their child being diagnosed with brain cancer was more than double!
10. Birth Defects
Glyphosate disrupts the vitamin A in the body, which is crucial for normal development of children. Women who live within one kilometer of crops that are sprayed with RoundUp are more than 50 percent more likely to have children with birth defects, according to studies done in Paraguay. One study out of Argentina found that congenital defects more than quadrupled in just 10 years after RoundUp Ready crops were grown.
11. Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma
A series of meta-analyses as well as a systematic review of almost 30 years’ worth of epidemiologic research looking at any possible link between non-Hodgkin lymphoma and exposure to RoundUp found that B cell lymphoma was strongly linked to exposure to this damaging chemical.
12. Breast Cancer
RoundUp initiates breast cancer cell growth in humans via estrogen receptors. Long term studies involving lab animals show that exposure to this herbicide produced rats with large, mammary tumors with much reduced life spans.
13. Multiple Sclerosis
There has been a tremendous increase in the rates of inflammatory bowel disease, which has been linked to the development of MS. RoundUp is believed to be a causal factor. Glyphosate induced IBS can cause the digestive tract bacteria to leak in to the vasculature. This starts an immune reaction and then this autoimmune disorder.
14. Various Other Cancers
Surveys have discovered that people who live in farming communities that use RoundUp or RoundUp Ready on their crops have two to four times more breast cancer, lung cancer, and prostate cancer than those who are not exposed to this herbicide.
15. Lou Gehrig’s Disease
Otherwise known as ALS, the development of this disease is thought to stem from a sulfate deficiency in the brain. RoundUp disrupts the transport of sulfate from the digestive tract to the liver and, eventually, can lead to a sulfate deficiency throughout the body, including the brain.
