If you only added one food from each of these two groups, one cruciferous vegetable and one berry, to your diet every day, it would go a long way toward starving cancer cells before they ever take a hold in your body.

Naturally, be certain that the produce you are consuming is fresh, locally grown (if possible) and organic. If only we could somehow convince the food industry to become more involved with cancer research and the pharmaceutical companies to become more involved in food research. For some reason, these two companies seem to feel that they are not interrelated and that they have nothing to do with each other, when in fact, they are so closely related, it’s as if they were identical twins.

Isn’t it about time we started thinking of our food as medicine for our bodies? The right foods can feed and nourish it, but the wrong foods can poison it.
