4. Strawberry Mint Blast

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of fresh, organic strawberries
  • 1 medium-sized organic pear, any variety
  • 15 fresh, organic peppermint leaves
  • 1 cup of fresh pineapple, cubed

For certain types of juicers, mint leaves present a problem. If you can’t crush them, you can try the old fashioned type of lemon squeezer or simply give them a twist or two and add them to your drink after you juice the remaining ingredients to get that minty flavor.

 

5. Nutty Tropical Smoothie

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 cups of purified water
  • 1 cup of fresh pineapple, cubed (freeze them overnight for a frozen treat!)
  • 1 large organic banana, frozen and cut into chunks
  • 1 medium organic carrot
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon of ginger
  • 1 teaspoon of turmeric
  • 12 raw almonds, soaked in water overnight and drained

Blend the water and almonds together until very smooth (about 90 seconds). Add all other ingredients and blend well.
