5. Yoga

Yoga is a terrific way to deal with just about any disease, including MS. Yoga allows the body to completely relax and teaches the mind to focus. If you don’t believe it, ask any MS patient who uses yoga to control pain and take back control of their body.

 

6. Herbal Supplements

There is a wide variety of supplements that can help you deal with various symptoms of MS. Lavender and peppermint, for example, are known to help relieve headaches. Dandelion tea is known to help detox the body. Although scientists don’t always understand how these herbs work, the fact is that they do for many MS patients.

7. Essential Oils

Many MS sufferers get relief from a wide variety of essential oils as well. Basil oil, used as a massage oil, often helps with muscle spasms. Joint pain is often helped with a mixture of wintergreen, menthol, and cayenne pepper oil. Severe headaches are often relieved with lavender oil and brain fog can be lifted with a mixture of sandalwood, frankincense, and ylang ylang. Don’t be afraid to experiment with different oils!
