2. Make Your Own Magnesium Body Butter
This is another method of getting your magnesium and a recipe that you are going to love.
Ingredients:
- ½ cup magnesium flakes
- 3 tablespoons of boiling water
- ¼ cup unrefined coconut oil
- 2 tablespoons beeswax pastilles
- 3 tablespoons of shea butter
Instructions:
- Pour the boiling water into a small bowl and add the magnesium flakes. Stir well until all the magnesium flakes are dissolved. Set this aside.
- Put a mason jar inside a small pan that has about 1 inch of water. Add the beeswax, coconut oil, and shea butter. Turn on medium heat.
- When everything is melted, take the Mason jar out of the pan and allow to cool until it reaches room temperature. Pour the mixture into a medium bowl or your blender.
- If you are using a bowl, use a hand blender on medium and begin blending.
- If you are using a blender, use on the lowest setting.
- Begin adding the magnesium mixture one drop at a time to the wax/oil mixture until all of the magnesium mix is added and is well mixed.
- Put this mixture in the ridge for about 15 or 20 minutes.
- Re-blend one more time to get that body butter consistency.
- Store in the fridge if you like your lotion cool. It can be kept at room temperature for up to 2 months.

These do-it-yourself recipe suggestions sound great, but lazy moi would rather stick to eating magnesium-rich foods.
