So you want to eat healthy, but you don’t have a lot of time to invest in cooking. Don’t worry, these ten foods are tasty as well as versatile, which can make for easy and quick meals. Stock up on these foods and always keep them on hand… you can’t go wrong!

 1. Lemons

Lemons are good for almost everything around the house, including your diet. Drink some warm water with the juice of half a lemon every morning to kick start your digestion.

Although plain, filtered water is great, it does get a bit boring, doesn’t it?  Try some lemon juice in your water to spice it up. Add some juice to your greens when cooking also to help cut that bitter flavor they can have.

The only grain that is a complete protein, and it contains all the amino acids you need.

If you haven’t used it before, you must try it.

You cook it similar to the way you cook rice and it takes only 15 or 20 minutes.

Like rice, you can use vegetable or chicken broth instead of water when cooking for added flavor.

If you haven’t tried these yet, they are a great alternative to cow’s milk.

You may find you like these milks better than cow’s milk in your morning coffee.

Trade in those plain old white potatoes for these sweet veggies. So good, they don’t even taste like health food.

They are just plain good all by themselves while still providing you with a multitude of vitamins.

10. Coconut Water

Did you know that when you are working out or sweating from any activity, your body is losing not only water, but electrolytes?

Low electrolyte levels can make you feel dizzy, dehydrated, and sometimes give you a terrible headache. Instead of those sugary energy drinks that are loaded with artificial stuff, drink coconut water.

It’s a great electrolyte replacement drink and it even comes in different flavors.

I drink water with 2 or 3 lemon wedges every day, but they’re costly,… $.69 apiece and VERY small, so I don’t use 1/2 of one’s juice.
