14 Ways To Whiten Your Teeth Naturally Without Ruining Your Enamel
No matter how badly you want your teeth whitened you have to give much thought to what your options are. There are so many teeth whitening products on the market that it may be hard to decide. You can have them whitened professionally by a dentist but that will cost around $300 or more. The kits that are available from the drug store are a lot cheaper but they may not be safe for you. Most of them are filled with chlorine dioxide and most dental professionals do not feel they are safe to use.
When you use a cheaper product, you may find that you are left with irreversible damage to your teeth that can never be reversed. These products have been found to leave users with discoloration, no luster left on the teeth, sensitive teeth, and a gritty feeling on your teeth. You could also end up with serious irritation to your gums, loss of enamel, and fractured teeth.
1. Baking soda
Make sure you use a good quality baking soda to whiten your teeth. Take a little bit of the baking soda and put it into a little bowl or glass. Put in enough purified water to make a runny solution you can use to brush your teeth. When you are finished brushing add more water to the baking soda and rinse out your mouth.

Activated charcoal can easily get rid of the stains on your teeth but it can stain everything else around it – counters, tiles, clothing. You should not use it with dairy and you may find yourself constipated as a result of this treatment. All you have to do is wet your toothbrush and apply the charcoal to it. Brush your teeth with the mixture and rinse when you are finished.
3. Oil Pulling
This process is an ancient procedure that takes a while but helps to clean the mouth and prevent further tooth decay. You can use any type of oil you prefer but most people use coconut or sesame oil. Take a tablespoon of oil and keep swishing it around your teeth for up to 20 minutes. Be careful that you don’t swallow this mixture as it builds up all of the bacteria in your mouth as it swishes around. You can brush your teeth when you have finished the oil pulling process.

Brush your teeth and rinse when you are finished. You can let the turmeric stay on your teeth for around 5 minutes. If you want to try it another way you can add 1 part coconut oil, 1 part baking soda and 2 parts turmeric powder together. Make a paste and brush your teeth with it when ready.
