3. Fried Foods

Yes, we know, fried chicken on Sunday afternoons is a tradition in many households, but that chicken, fried in high temperatures with GMO vegetable oil, might earn you a tradition in a shorter lifespan.

Fried foods are associated with higher cholesterol lives, high blood pressure, cardiovascular disease, higher incidence of strokes, and obesity, which can also lead to diabetes and other health issues. Foods that are fried using highly processed vegetable oils create trans-fats, and those high temperatures cause a highly carcinogenic substance called acrylamide to form.

It’s much more than just those burgers, fries, and fried chicken, however. Other fried foods include donuts, potato chips, fish, onion rings, turkeys (You know those deep fryers for Thanksgiving turkey), shrimp, oysters, pork skins (chicharron), and liver.

By the way, you should also know that cancer causing acrylamides are in cigarettes as well, so if you smoke, this is another reason you should stop.

    does the popcorn info apply to the ones that just come in a jar of only kernels that have had nothing done to them, so you can butter/salt them to your liking. also with any of the noodles you just mean the insta-noodles not the kind that almost a billion people eat.
