The leafy greens in this recipe will add another anti-inflammatory substance to your body; chlorophyll. The avocado in this recipe helps the body absorb the turmeric with its healthy fats.

Ingredients:

  • 1 Cup of Coconut Milk or Coconut Water
  • 1 Cup of Packed Leafy Greens (your choice such as kale, spinach, or lettuce)
  • ½ of an Organic Avocado
  • 1 Organic Pear, Kiwi, or Apple
  • ½ Teaspoon of Turmeric Powder or ½ Inch Piece of Fresh Turmeric, Peeled and Chopped
  • 1 Tablespoon of Coconut Oil (optional)
  • Honey or Stevia to Taste

Add to your blender and mix well.

2. Superb Golden Smoothie

Super rich in vitamin A, this one is great for the eyes, healthy skin, and a super healthy immune system. Be sure you add the coconut oil so that your body can absorb the turmeric more easily.

Ingredients:

  • 2 Tablespoons of Old Fashioned Oats
  • 1 Cup of Fresh Orange Juice or Water
  • 1 Organic Carrot, Cut into Chunks
  • 1 Organic Mango, Peeled and Cut into Chunks
  • 1 Tablespoon of Coconut Oil
  • ½ Inch Piece of Fresh Turmeric, Peeled or ½ Teaspoon of Ground Turmeric
  • 3 Dried Apricots (optional)

Place the oatmeal in your blender and mix until it is finely ground. Add the remaining ingredients. If you like your smoothie a bit thicker, allow it to sit for three to five minutes before drinking.

3. Lemon Turmeric Tonic

If you are in the habit of drinking lemon water in the morning, you can add turmeric to it for a super anti-inflammatory tonic that will really get your day off to a great start!

Ingredients:

  • 1 Cup of Warm (not too hot!) Water
  • ½ Teaspoon of Turmeric Powder or ½ Inch of Fresh Turmeric
  • Juice from ½ of an Organic Lemon
  • Dash of Cinnamon
  • Dash of Black Pepper
  • Honey or Stevia to Taste

Add the turmeric to the water, and then add the lemon juice, cinnamon, pepper and honey. Stir well. The turmeric will likely settle to the bottom so drink this quickly or stir it in between sips.

4. Super Anti-Inflammatory Morning Smoothie
