Eating An Alkaline Diet? Why Not Make Your Own Alkaline Water?!
Regular readers of NaturalOn already know that to beat cancer and other diseases, your body should be a little bit on the alkaline side. For most Americans, the opposite appears to be true. The typical American diet of fast food and processed foods, environmental issues and toxins, even stress can all make our bodies more acidic … sometimes very acidic.
Why do you want a more alkaline state? Because cancer and other diseases cannot survive in an alkaline environment.
An acidic state leads to serious health complications over time, including digestive problems, weight gain, fatigue, and caner.
The pH scale starts at 0, which is the most acidic, to 14, the most alkaline. Therefore, neutral would be 7 and, our bodies run best when they are a bit on the alkaline side of about 7.4.
Our internal organs run on different pH levels. For example, as you might expect, our saliva is more acidic in order to digest food. The pH of the mouth can range between 6.5 and 7. Our skin, on the other hand, runs about 5.0. Our digestive system can vary quite a bit depending on our diet — somewhere between 1.5 and 7.0! That’s a huge difference.
The International Journal of Cosmetic Science published a 2006 study finding that in order to prevent infections, the pH of our skin would work better if it were working in the 4 or 4.5 range..
Science discovered long ago that the food we eat greatly determines the overall pH level of the body and, in this way, determines our overall health.
Dr. Otto Warburg found this out in 1931, which earned him the Nobel Prize in medicine. Since then, researchers have constantly struggled to determine the pH value of various foods and their overall contribution to the body.
Dr. Warburg’s discovery found that between 90 to 95 percent of all cancers occur in an acidic environment. He also discovered that cancer cells cannot live in an alkaline environment, which he determined was anything 7.36 or higher.

This early researcher stated almost a century ago that there is obviously a relation between over-acidity of the body and the formation of cancer, and his words still ring true, even with most modern diseases such as diabetes, osteoporosis, even heart disease.
As soon as pH levels begin to drop, your body will attempt to regulate itself by holding and storing excessively acidic compounds in the body, such as the kidneys, lungs, and liver.
This keeps your body at the perfect pH of 7.35 and 7.45. Unfortunately, over time, these acidic compounds will wear out healthy cells, causing them to become toxic and mutated. These mutated cells can then grow out of control, which is the start of cancer.
This is why is makes perfect sense to make the changes necessary in your diet to preserve the alkaline balance. Eat more alkaline based foods and consume alkaline water. Since the body is 70 percent water, it only makes sense that drinking alkaline water can help you reach your endeavor.
There are plenty of alkaline waters for sale, but these are terribly expensive and generally not worth the money spent on them when you can make your own at home for pennies per gallon, rather than $3 for half a liter!
In a large glass or stainless steel container, (do not use plastic as it contains chemicals that leech into water and are toxic, as well as acidic to the body), mix two liters of purified water, the juice from one organic lemon, and one tablespoon of Himalayan salt. Allow these ingredients to sit overnight, shake well and you are ready to go.
For the best results, consume this water first thing in the morning on an empty stomach. If you can, drink three glasses of this water (about 24 ounces). If you can’t, drink as much as you can. You can also drink this water during the day. It will only do you good, and the effects are inevitable.
Over time, consuming alkaline water will have you start feeling differently, full of energy and improved concentration, and your skin clear and glowing with health.
Imagine double these results if you combine your alkaline diet and alkaline water with organic foods, no sugar, regular exercise, and a minimum of seven hours sleep each night. It might feel a bit like being reborn!
