20. Coconuts

Coconut meat, milk, water, and coconut oil are all super alkalizing! It’s hard to find something negative to say about coconuts! Coconuts have so many health benefits, it’s hard to list them all in one place. For this list, however, we are simply going to say that if you are looking for ways to alkalize the body, you should find more way to add more coconut to your life.

21. Cucumbers

These dark green veggies are good for the skin, stop bags under the eyes, and are very hydrating. You can add one more thing to their plus list: They are alkaline-forming. For even more alkalizing power, leave the peel on.

22. Peas

Oh yes, green peas are one of the top choices when it comes to side dishes, but did you know that they are alkaline-forming as well? Try to cut back on the butter, though, as it is acid-forming. Try making those peas with a bit of coconut oil for a change.

23. Dandelion

You are going to look at those weeds in your yard a whole lot differently after you find out that they are super alkalizing. These “weeds” are powerful detoxifiers, blood purifiers, and help lower blood pressure to top it all off. Add some dandelion to your salads or drink some dandelion tea for a boost of alkalinity, and detoxify the body all at the same time.

24. Onions

As you might have already figured out, onions, like chives, are another alkaline food that you should be eating on a regular basis. They have anti-viral compounds that can prevent you from getting the flu as well as being full of anti-cancer compounds. You can sauté onions to increase their alkaline power, but don’t overcook them. Add plenty of raw onions to your salads and cooking dishes as well.

25. Olive Oil

In addition to coconut oil, olive oil is one of the most alkalizing oils you can use. Add some to your morning smoothie for added thickness, or drizzle it on your salads or vegetables. No matter how you decide to use olive oil, you simply cannot go wrong.

26. Endives

Endives are another super alkalizing green that you should add more of to your diet. Some people really like the taste; others, not so much. If you love endive, use plenty of it in your salads. If you aren’t a fan, add it to your green smoothies. No matter how you choose to use it, you will be doing your body a big, big favor.

The photo that you have used on the front of the top 35 alkaline foods is misleading and a typical advertising ploy as ripe bananas is not on the list yet you have chosen to put it in the visual display. That is unethical and wrong to do that.
