Lemons can freshen, whiten, and brighten almost anything you can think of. 1. Add Highlights to Hair

You probably already heard about this one, but it really works! Apply some lemon juice directly to your hair and then do a little sunbathing, or just use your hairdryer.

2.  Fade those Dark Spots

Another old-fashioned remedy for freckeles and age spots that works.

Use a cotton ball to rub lemon juice over those offending spots once a day to lighten them.

3. Nail Whitener

If using lots of dark colored nail polish has left your fingernails or toenails yellow, put some lemon juice into a bowl and soak your nails for 10 minutes to make them beautifully white again.

4.  Remove Hair Residue

Got product buildup? Rinsing your hair with lemon juice is a great all natural way to remove it.

Mix one part water with one part lemon juice and pour over hair. Let it sit for one minute, then rinse.

5.  Dandruff Remover

While it won’t prevent dandruff, it does a great job at removing the flakes.

Massage the juice of one lemon into your scalp, let sit for 10 minutes, shampoo as usual.

6. Face Mask

Want to firm and tighten the skin on your face?

Try this great revitalizing mask. Mix 2 tablespoons of plain yogurt with 1 tablespoon of lemon juice.

Apply this mixture to your face, avoiding your eyes.

Leave on for a minimum of 20 minutes and a maximum of 1 hour. Rinse with warm water, then apply your moistureizer.

7. Super Hydrating Hair Conditioner

Mix ¾ of a cup of olive oil, ½ cup of raw honey, with 3 tablespoons of lemon juice.

After shampooing your hair, saturate your hair with this mixture, then put your hair in heat cap or plastic wrap and leave on for at least 30 minutes.

Rinse well with warm water.

Mix one part lemon juice with two parts salt ( or sugar if you prefer) and two parts olive oil to make the ultimate, all natural body scrub.
