6. Red Grapes and Red Wine

One of the best sources of an anti-mutagen antioxidant, called resveratrol, can be found in red grapes and red wine. Resveratrol has been shown to reduce oxidant-caused cell death, which inhibits the production abnormal growth in cells, especially in the intestinal tract. Resveratrol has been shown in numerous studies to inhibit a compound called CoX-2, which has been linked to cancer and pre-cancerous growths. So while Big Pharma is busy trying to sell you their synthetic CoX-2 inhibitors, all you really need is to consume either pure red grape juice, or enjoy a glass of wine with dinner to get all the CoX-2 inhibitors you need.
