Everyone is looking for a way to prevent or beat cancer. Simply type in the words “natural cancer cure” into any search engine you will get millions upon millions of hits. Some of them are legitimate sites, but unfortunately many of them are not.

Some of the most common cancers are breast and prostate. Cancer is the second leading cause of death, second on only to heart disease, in the US. Only 4 types of cancer account for about half of all cancers diagnosed in the US: colorectal, breast, lung, and prostate cancer, not necessarily in this order.

The sad thing is that most people don’t seem to realize that preventing or beating cancer isn’t “rocket science.” You don’t need a miracle pill or a specialized tonic. All you really need is a diet that is based on a variety of raw, fresh, organic vegetables, fruits in a rainbow of colors, and some healthy fats. Of course eating this type of diet to stop cancer that has infested the body will depend on how healthy the body is, how far the disease has progressed, how readily the body can absorb and use the nutrients in these foods, and the state of the person’s immune system.

Foods such as leafy greens, avocados, red, green, and yellow peppers, all types of cabbage, berries, grapes, cauliflower, broccoli, dandelions, and more have all been shown in numerous research studies to prevent cancer in the first place, or to kill cells that develop. In fact, almost every single plant on this earth has some type of cancer fighting power. This is the problem with the modern day diet. It lacks what we need to fight cancer, which is why cancer rates are on the rise. Early man simply traveled the earth, getting tons of exercise, and stuffing their faces with all the goodness the earth had to offer, depending on the season, and they enjoyed wild meat when they could get it. Modern man lives on a steady diet of carbs, meat, sugar, and chemicals. It’s no wonder we have large numbers of people affected with chronic disease and cancer.

Unfortunately, one of our problems is that even organic produce can’t give us the vitamins and minerals that it once did. Our toxic, depleted soils stop our produce from absorbing nutrients from the ground. This is why many people, no matter how healthy their diet might be, take supplements. Don’t make the mistake of falling for those synthetic supplements; we are talking about real supplements such as lemon peels for vitamin C, chlorella, spirulina, and rose hips. You can make literally hundreds of different types of herbal tinctures or dried extracts that will keep your immune system strong and stop cancer before it can begin. A few herbs that you can use that are known to have cancer killing power are:

  • Clove oil
  • Red clover
  • Skullcap
  • Echinacea
  • Goldenseal
  • Barberry
  • Oil of oregano
  • Astragalus
  • Pau d’arco
  • Cat’s claw
  • Ashwagandha

A new study shows that an extract from wormwood, artemesinin, turns into a lethal weapon against cancer in the presence of iron. Scientists know that breast cancer cells contain very high levels of iron. Artemesinin finds these higher than normal iron levels and kills the cancer cells, leaving the surrounding healthy tissue with little or no damage. That makes this herb perhaps the most powerful weapon in our arsenal against breast cancer. In fact, in this study, artemesinin killed all breast cancer cells in a 16 hour period. Although this was done in a lab setting, you will find artemesinin tablets everywhere as a means of fighting malaria. Malaria is parasite that consumes large quantities of iron. Artemesinin finds these high iron areas in the body and kills the parasite.

In addition to organic vegetables and fruits, there are numerous herbs and spices that have also been shown to be powerful cancer fighters in numerous studies. Some of the best of these are:

  • Cinnamon
  • Ginger
  • Garlic
  • Oregano
  • Cayenne pepper
  • Cloves
  • Turmeric

This means that eating plenty of vegetables, such as big salads filled with raw vegetables and spiced up with some of the items listed above can turn a nice meal into a cancer fighting powerhouse!

Mushrooms, especially Reishi mushrooms, have been found to be helpful for those afflicted with cancer and some studies have shown that they are particularly active against prostate cancer.

You should be aware that turmeric has powerful cancer fighting compounds, but it is difficult for the body to absorb what it needs. By mixing turmeric with black pepper, your body can increase its absorption rate by as much between 200 and 2,000 percent!

It’s also been noted in several studies that the lycopene found in tomatoes, the resveratrol from grapes, the allium in onions, green tea, colorful berries and the sulforaphane from asparagus all have strong cancer fighting compounds and should be consumed quite regularly.

Vitamin D from the sun also has been shown to play an important role in the avoidance of cancer. Did you know that rates of colon, ovarian, and breast cancer are lower in parts of the world where they get plenty of sunshine than it is in Northern parts of the planet where cold winters severely limit the population’s sun exposure levels. Research shows that almost 2/3rds of people affected with all different types of cancer have low levels of vitamin D in their blood. The lower their vitamin D levels, the more advanced the cancer. Try to get the best and most natural form of vitamin D, which is sunlight. Start with 5 minutes each day and work yourself up to 30 or 45 minutes of sunlight each day. If this isn’t possible, then take a good quality vitamin D supplement.

There are other factors that can help you avoid cancer by improving your immune system. Avoiding sugar and RF waves, getting plenty of exercise and sunshine, keeping your weight down, avoiding excessive alcohol, detoxing regularly, not smoking, and getting plenty of sleep each night
