It is mostly known that vegetables are good for adding vitamins and other nutrients to the body, which in turn prevents illnesses and disease. 1. Spinach.
This veggie is known by many, but does not take away the fact that most people are ignorant of its nutritional value as one of the vegetables most rich in calcium. As a vegetarian, using spinach in your cooking is one of best ways to increase the good health of your bones.

2. Broccoli.
This is a green plant of the cabbage family whose large flowering head is eaten as a vegetable. Among other vitamins and nutrients, broccoli possesses calcium as well.
3. Collard Greens.
This is a kind of loose leaf plant which is also one of the vegetables rich in calcium. The name collard was taken from the name ‘‘colewort’’ which means the wild cabbage plant. It is similar to Kale and they are grown for their large and dark colored appearance as a garden ornamental, and of course its edibility.

4. Kale.
This is also a vegetable with an excellent source of calcium. Kale contains over forty-five different flavonoids having very potent antioxidant benefits. The 100 gram serving of the vegetable is capable of offering about 139mg of absorbable calcium in consumption.
5. Turnip Greens.
This is a root vegetable that is normally grown in the temperate regions because of its white bulbous tap root. They are a good source of calcium, potassium, and vitamin K.
6. Okra.
This is a plant of the mallow family. In some English speaking countries, it is known as the ‘‘ladies’ finger’’ or ‘O’’ It has calcium 100g per cup, and eight pods of it can have 95g of calcium.

7. Kelp.
This is also one of the vegetables most rich in calcium as it contains 136mg of calcium in a cup per serving. It is also known to be rich in iodine which prevents goiter.
8. Mustard Greens.
A one cup serving of mustard greens when cooked and drained without salt has 165mg of calcium.

9. Spring Onions.
Otherwise known as scallions, are part of the vegetables rich in calcium which are part of the allium onion species. They have a milder taste and are related to leeks, Chinese onions, and garlic. Each scallion has 15g of calcium, and if chopped per cup, can bring out 100g of calcium.
10. Watercress.
This is an aquatic plant that is native to Europe and Asia, and one of the oldest grown leaf vegetables eaten by humans. A chopped watercress per cup serving has 34g of calcium, and 25g per 10 sprigs.
