Golden Turmeric Tea

Ingredients:

  • 1 Can of coconut milk
  • 1 Cup of water
  • 1 Teaspoon raw, organic honey
  • 1 Teaspoon turmeric
  • 1 Teaspoon cinnamon
  • Pinch of black pepper
  • Very small piece of fresh, organic peeled ginger root
  • Pinch of cayenne pepper (optional)

Instructions:

Place all ingredients in a high speed blender or food processor until well mixed and smooth. Pour into a small sauce pan and heat on the stove, under medium flame, for about 5 minutes. You want this to be hot, but not boiling. Allow to cool a bit, and then drink warm.

Liquid Gold Turmeric Tea

Ingredients:

  • 1 Cup coconut milk
  • 1 Cup water
  • 1 Tablespoon raw, organic honey
  • 1 Teaspoon grated turmeric root
  • 1 Tablespoon ghee or raw, unsalted butter.

Instructions:

Pour the water and coconut milk into a sauce pan and warm gently for about 2 minutes. Add the turmeric, honey, and butter. Mix well and allow to heat thoroughly but don’t boil it. Pour into two cups and enjoy while still very warm.
