13. Baking Soda and Cornstarch

Another way to stop excessive sweating is to mix baking soda and cornstarch, and apply it to your underarms and hands. You can even add a few drops of your favorite essential oil for a nice smell. Apply the mixture anytime you like, as often as you like.

14. Chamomile

Sweet and fragrant chamomile has astringent, antibacterial and deodorant compounds, which make it perfect those who are super sweaty. The antibacterial compounds kill the germs that cause odors while the astringent compounds in this herb constrict the sweat glands, so you will sweat less.

Make a strong chamomile tea. Once it cools, soak a cotton ball in the tea and rub it under your arms, on your feet, or any place where you tend to sweat. You can also drink a cup of tea every night before bed to help fight sweating from the inside out.

15.  Eat More Magnesium-Rich Food

For some people, a magnesium deficiency can lead to profuse sweating. Unfortunately, at the same time, excessive sweating can lead to a magnesium deficiency. This makes this problem a vicious cycle that is hard to end. Eating more foods that are rich in magnesium, rubbing magnesium oil on the feet each evening and  by soaking regularly in an Epsom salt-filled bath can reverse the magnesium deficiency and restore your body’s natural sweat level.

Foods that are naturally rich in magnesium are:

  • Apples (all varieties)
  • Broccoli
  • Green leafy veggies, such as kale
  • Avocados
  • Potatoes (all varieties)
  • Bananas
  • Whole grains
  • Seeds (such as pumpkin or sesame seeds)
  • Nuts (tree nuts such as almonds or cashews)
  • Legumes

Extra Tips:

  • Lose weight if you are overweight.
  • Avoid cigarettes, alcohol and drugs.
  • Stay hydrated by drinking at least eight glasses of water each day.
  • Avoid spicy foods.
  • Wear loose-fitting, natural fiber clothes.
  • Avoid stress.
  • Limit your caffeine intake.
  • Shave the groin and underarms to limit hiding places for bacteria.
