Maca: Perhaps the Best Hormone Balancing Food on the Planet for Both Sexes!

For men, the research is just as strong. Andrologia featured a study in October of 2006 which showed that the extracts from black maca could increase the sperm count just one day after treatment and increase the sperm count in the vas deferens after only three days. Researchers found an increase in daily sperm production after only one week of treatment.

If you want to consume maca for its hormone balancing benefits, then consume organic, powdered maca that has been gelatinized. This simple means that the maca has had the starches removed. This improves its bioavailability as well as its potency. Even the indigenous people of Peru rarely ate raw maca because it was hard to digest.
