MYO Natural Ginger-Based Pain Killing Press
A world famous researcher on the therapeutic effects of common household spices, Dr. Krishna Srivastava, conducted a study at Odense University in Denmark, and found that ginger is a superior pain relieving remedy, more so than many of the over the counter pain relievers sold today.
Common over the counter pain remedies such as ibuprofen and naproxen, although effective on some types of pain, have no effect on the production of cytokine. Cytokines are substances that can have an inflammatory effect in the body and are a major contributor to pain signals the body receives. Betamethasone has been used for decades for the relief of pain but it has numerous as well as serious side effects, such as shortness of breath, heart arrhythmias, pancreatitis, seizures, depression, chest pains, high blood pressure, anxiety attacks, sleep issues, acne, slow healing of wounds, and muscle weakness, just to name a few! Ginger has no such side effects and is a powerful anti-inflammatory. Find out all ginger benefits.
In this study, both betamethasone and ginger were effective in reducing cytokines but ginger has absolutely no side effects, something betamethasone cannot claim. This study gave small amounts of ginger to arthritic subjects every day for a three month period. The majority of the participants had significant reductions in pain, morning stiffness, and swelling; simply by eating some ginger every day.
Dr. Srivastava also discovered that ginger worked better than NSAIDs (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs) such as ibuprofen or Tylenol. This is because NSAIDs only block the formation of inflammatory compounds. Ginger not only blocks prostaglandins and leukotrienes, but it has strong antioxidant compounds that break down the acidity in the fluid of joins and removes existing inflammation.
This study was published in the Journal of Pain and it mentioned that both raw ginger and powdered ginger all had the same effectiveness against inflammation and pain.
So now that we know exactly how ginger works, if you are suffering from arthritis, or other types of joint pain, you would greatly benefit from including more ginger in your diet, but did you know that you can also reap the benefits of ginger by making a natural poultice from fresh ginger?
Making a ginger press is a super effective and quick way to help stop the pain of back aches, sprains, rheumatism, and swollen veins. You will notice a hot or burning sensation when you use this, but that only indicates that the ginger is reaching the inflamed areas and is doing its job! For intense pain, leave this poultice on the skin until the burning sensation is completely gone.
