The Sweetest, Most Natural Face Wash You Will Ever Use
Using honey to wash your face is better than any soap you can buy, as soaps tend to remove all oils from your skin, even beneficial ones. If you haven’t heard, honey is great at allowing skin to heal more quickly. In fact, honey works so well that there are now medical grade ointments with a honey base that allow for the healing of skin wounds, and is especially helpful with those suffering from burns.

Manuka honey has the strongest healing and antibacterial compounds but if you can’t find it in your area, regular old raw honey from local bees is perfectly good. (Not to mention, local honey is much cheaper.) You can also make your own specialized version of honey cleanser. Vitamin C is great for the skin so if you like you can add some powdered vitamin C to the honey. Other people enjoy putting a couple drops of essential oils for great smell and added healing power. However you decide to make it, or if you decide to leave it plain, you can’t go wrong using honey to wash your way to a beautiful complexion.
Here’s How You Do It
- Wet your face with warm water
- Place about a teaspoon of honey in your hands and rub them together
- Massage the honey into your skin, be sure you get all over
- Leave on for about 5 minutes
- Rinse off with warm water
- Optional: Make your own toner by mixing 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar, ½ cup of water, and a teaspoon of aloe vera gel. Mix well and spritz your face after you wash.
Honey will not remove makeup, so if you wear makeup you will want to wash with your regular oil to remove that, but in the mornings, before you put on your pretty face, washing with honey would be a great way to keep your skin free from breakouts while also making it super soft.
